Already a Domestic Energy Assessor? Take our 5 day
Commercial Assessor course
Commercial properties being sold, let or built also now require Energy Assessments. Although only around 100,000 have been carried out in the last year they are much more extensive than Domestic Assessments with much higher fees for Assessors. Government estimates 211,000 will be needed every year for many years and this year’s shortfall, which includes 90,000 empty shops, is due to a backlog of Assessments building up due to non-compliance by many commercial landlords. Government is addressing this which should substantially increase the number required this year, which should benefit you if you start training now.
