Working as an Energy Assessor and multi-skilled Property Professional
On gaining the various qualifications you will have three options.
- Be available to work for our 2 sister companies, the Energy Assessor Panel and HIP HIP hooray.com, as soon as you have gained the first 2 Domestic and Commercial Energy Assessor qualifications and accreditations. If you choose this option, you receive a subsidy towards the cost of your training.
- Work for another assessment provider you locate which you are, of course, free to do at any time.
- Start your own assessor/surveyor business offering the many services you will be able to provide on gaining the various qualifications - many qualifying trainees have already done this very successfully.
In estimating potential weekly earnings*, it is possible to carry out up to 15 Domestic, 4 Commercial or 12 Air-Conditioning Energy Assessments in a week, once some experience has been gained, but this would depend on the size of properties and most importantly the supply. However a considerable weekly gross fee income could be achieved by just doing a combination of say 6 Domestic Assessments at £45 each (2 hours x 6), just 2 Commercials at £300 each (8 hours x 2) and 1 Air-Conditioning Assessment at around £100 (3 hours).
Our sister companies aim to provide as much work as they can for our qualifying trainees and have invested over £2 million in carving out a market share of the Energy Assessment industry for the Energy Assessor Panel and of the Home Information Pack (HIP) industry for HIP HIP hooray.com. Just recently they made their third buy-out of a competitor, taking over National Home Packs. Remember, the Energy Assessment part of HIPs will still be required even if the Tories scrap HIPs which is the reason acquisitions of competitors are still being made. Whilst the amount of work provided to our qualifying trainees will depend on the market shares gained and maintained in the various industries, any training subsidies from our sister companies will still be made regardless of how much work is provided.**
