Frequently Asked Questions
- Q. What is the Sine Kure® Ring?
- A. The Sine Kure® ring is an acupressure ring which is worn on the little finger of either hand.
- Q. How does it work?
- A. The ring is cast in the UK with protuberances known as a Stimubloc™ to create the desired pressure at the acupoint “Qiangu” which depending on your physiology is located either on the side or base of the little finger between the knuckle and joint. The pressure creates a positive stimulus of the central nervous system helping to tonify the muscles of your nasal passages, reduce sinus swelling and draining the nasal cavities – reducing nasal congestion.
- Q. When should I wear the Sine Kure® ring?
- A. Put the Sine Kure® ring on within one hour of waking and wear for no more than 12 hours daily, repeat the procedure daily thereafter.
- Q. Which hand should I wear the Sine Kure® ring?
- A. The Sine Kure ring can be worn on either the left or right little finger – the therapeutic effects can of course be enhanced by wearing a ring on each finger.
- Q. Will I feel the positive effects immediately?
- A. It depends entirely on your personal physiology –most users feel an immediate effect but generally the wearing of the ring creates a cumulative therapeutic effect and builds intensity with daily usage – therefore after 3-10 days the Sine Kure ring should be improving your daily breathing, reducing nasal congestion and sinus pain.
- Q. Can I use the ring in conjunction with other drugs?
- A. Yes the ring is drug free.
- Q. I have blood circulation problems – can I still wear the ring?
- A.Generally not a problem but consult your GP first before wearing.
- Q. Does wearing the Sine Kure® ring have any side effects?
- A. No the ring is drug free and has no side effects. However if you feel any numbness or a “pins & needles” effect in your finger, hand or arm – you may be wearing the ring too tightly – remove the ring and re apply – if the symptoms persist consult your GP
- Q. Are there any sporting or exercise activities where I should not use the ring?
- A. Avoid wearing the ring in contact sports and should you be using sports or gym equipment apply tape (waterproof) to secure the ring to your finger and protect from accidental injury – for the avoidance of doubt remove the ring for safety.
- Q. Are there any circumstances where I should not wear the ring at work?
- A. If you are operating machinery guarded or unguarded and do not have protective gloves – always remove the ring. If you work with manual equipment or tools always remove the ring to prevent any accidental injury. If you have any doubt in the workplace always remove the ring for safety.
- Q. Does the Sine Kure ring contain Nickel?
- A. Both the Sterling Silver and Gold finish rings are Nickel free.
- Q. Can the Sine Kure ring be used by children?
- A. Consult your GP first – the minimum finger diameter is 14.3mm and therefore not suitable for any infant children – remember always keep your ring out of reach of small children
- Q. Does the ring cause any staining to finger?
- A. The gold plated ring contains copper and this may in time cause a slight stain if you immerse your finger in water. To avoid this always remove the ring before bathing, washing or swimming. If any staining occurs simply wash off with soapy water. The Sterling Silver ring is pure Silver and totally PH neautral
